“Stayed in this hotel on route from Southern France to London for one night. Location was perfect, just across the road from the station. Service was excellent throughout our stay. The room (double club) was fine - clean, comfortable and a reasonable size. The decor could probably be described as 'classic' but the bathroom seemed to have been updated. No disturbances due to noise. We also took breakfast which was good value at 15 Euro per person, with a good selection of hot and cold food. The cost on a last minute deal was good value for such a well located hotel. Overall, highly recommended.”
“+ The room was clean and a good size for Paris. + The staff were excellent and incredibly friendly. + The food was pretty decent at the adjoining restaurant. The wait staff there were brilliant and funny. + The location is incredibly convenient if you’re taking a train from the Gare de Lyon. - Otherwise, it’s terrible if you’re a tourist. It’s far away from everything touristy. + However, the area is full of bars/restaurants that were always packed with locals. - The only major downside were the beds. They were uncomfortable. We stayed in a 4 star hotel on this trip that was just as bad. So, increased stars don’t guarantee better mattresses. But I had to take off a star for the mattresses.”
“This 3 star hotel is located at one of the best locations tourists can find. It is just on the opposite side of railway station Gare de Lyon. It is along the Boulevard Diderot, at the entrance to the 12th arrondissement and close to La Bastille. A historic 3-star hotel with a modern touch, it overlooks their Italian restaurant La Fosca' which offers a great meal. We booked a room with 3 beds which was on the 4th floor. It was a very comfortable room. The hotel has a lift and breakfast facility where we could eat delicious breakfast which starts at 5:30am. From here you can access all public transportation and move quickly around the capital. We could easily just cross the road outside the hotel and take metro trains to see beautiful tourist places like the Louvre museum in Paris, Notre-Dame Cathedral, Saint-Séverin Church, Seine river, Eiffel tower, etc. There are numerous cafes all around the hotel serving the best French cuisine. We could take an RER train from Gare de Lyon station and in 30 mins and reach Disney Land. Even from the airport you can take RER B for Gare De Lyon station. The staff of the hotel is very friendly and helpful providing us with useful information and attending to our queries with care. It is a comfortable and peaceful stay here. If you visit Paris, you must stay here.”
“Cute little hotel that could not be better located across the street from the Gare de Lyon. Rooms were basically in line with what you would expect for a 3 star and were very clean. The service was a highlight and everyone was exceptionally warm, friendly, and helpful. Also, the best (and cheapest!) hotel breakfast that we had across our various hotels over this most recent trip which was a very nice surprise”
